Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Winnfield throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean.
Winnfield tries to grapple but his opponent circles

and Xcx counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Xcx.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Winnfield looking for a sweep. Not yet Winnfield, not yet.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Xcx slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
Xcx pushes down on Winnfield's leg and manages to get into half guard.
Xcx has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount.

Winnfield really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Xcx. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Xcx's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
Xcx wants to take Winnfield's back here but Winnfield is holding on to an arm, himself looking to escape.

Xcx seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Winnfield for as long as he can get away with.

Winnfield will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Xcx up against the cage.
Xcx has Winnfield pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Winnfield manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.
Xcx is trying to drag Winnfield to the mat but Winnfield just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.

As Xcx backs off Winnfield throws a huge counter combo but Xcx manages to avoid it all.

Xcx closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

Xcx tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Xcx has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Charli Xcx overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
You can see the frustration on Winnfield's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Xcx is looking to take a break and control but Winnfield is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
The referee asks Xcx politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Xcx prefers to stall for the moment though.

Winnfield is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Xcx has just dragged him back down to the mat.

Xcx shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.

Winnfield is defending against the submission attempts here by Xcx.

Xcx has his foot on Winnfield's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Winnfield works his way back into a safe position though.
