Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Tim Lynch (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kyle Johnson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Lynch comes into the arena with The Doors-Break on through blaring out of the sound system. Kyle Johnson has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Tim Lynch! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Kyle Johnson! The judges for this bout are , Timothy Bukovac and Frank Antenori.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Lynch blocks a head kick by Johnson.
Johnson slips a straight right by Lynch. Johnson throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Johnson connects with a body shot. Lynch throws a series of punches but Johnson avoids them all with ease. Lynch blocks a head kick by Johnson.

Lynch thows a left - swing and a miss! Johnson tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Kyle Johnson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Lynch. Good exchange - Johnson coming out on top.
It looks like Tim Lynch has been cut. Lynch misses with a looping left. Johnson throws a head kick that misses. Lynch shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Johnson pinned against the cage. Johnson gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Johnson steps into range and cracks Lynch with a monster punch that buckles his knees! Lynch flops backwards and Johnson dives into his guard looking to finish!
Lynch is rocked! Johnson postures up in Lynch's guard and throws a big left but Lynch blocks it. Oh Lynch is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!! Johnson not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. Lynch seems to have got his legs back now. Johnson throwing strikes from guard but Lynch blocks nicely. Lynch throws a couple of shots from the bottom but they don't land. Johnson is working Lynch over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes. Johnson wants to stand and escape but instead Lynch has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard. Johnson looking to control.

Lynch working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound. Johnson had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Lynch is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Johnson Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Lynch's back instead. Lynch trying to control the hands but Johnson won't let him. Johnson keeps control of the position as Lynch tries to break free.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Johnson is looking to control Lynch but Lynch is wriggling around and keeping busy. Johnson seems to be going for a rear naked choke. He has an arm under Lynch's chin but Lynch turns very nicely into Johnson's guard. Good BJJ skills being displayed there by Lynch.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Johnson looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Lynch passes into half guard.
Lynch wants to take a breather but Johnson is having none of it. Lynch working Johnson over with strikes.

Lynch pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Johnson is keeping the position for now. Johnson escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Lynch gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Johnson is trying to keep Lynch in close.

Kyle Johnson dominated that round. The cut man is working on Tim Lynch's cut. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Lynch misses with an uppercut. Johnson saw that one coming. Lynch tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Johnson was well out of range. Poor timing from Lynch. Johnson misses with a double jab
and Lynch counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Johnson misses with a looping right. Johnson tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Johnson throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Johnson throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. A head kick by Johnson misses and Lynch counters with a single leg into guard. Johnson didn't expect that. Lynch is looking to work some ground and pound but Johnson has wrist control. Lynch working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Johnson's head. Lynch looking to pass the guard.

Johnson keeping moving, preventing Lynch from controlling successfully. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Johnson not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Johnson throws a head kick that misses. A big left from Johnson misses. Johnson lands a two punch combo.
Lynch connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Johnson momentarily.

Lynch sees it coming and avoids it easily. Lynch tries to score with a low kick but Johnson moves his leg out of the way. Johnson tries to clinch and Lynch counters with a left to the body. Johnson tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Johnson misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Lynch fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Nice takedown defense from Johnson. No joy for Lynch on that attempt. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Lynch fails to land the takedown. That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. A head kick misses from Johnson. Lynch misses with a hook to the body
and Lynch takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Johnson rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Lynch moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Johnson tries to clinch up and Lynch counters with a nice double leg into guard. Johnson is trying to keep Lynch in close.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Lynch wants to control from the top but Johnson keeps moving. Lynch drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Lynch jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Johnson is trying to control the position from the bottom.

Johnson throws a push kick but Lynch slaps the foot to one side. Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Johnson. Johnson scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one. Lynch avoids the head kick by Johnson.

Johnson wants to clinch and Lynch counters with a nice double leg into half guard. Tim Lynch overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Lynch is looking for a kimura but Johnson is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Lynch to get the leverage.
That's one minute gone in the round. Lynch passes into side control, despite Johnson's attempt to control the position.
Johnson can't do much from the bottom here. Johnson is looking to regain half guard here but Lynch keeps moving and retains side control. Johnson struggling a bit here. Johnson tries to get back to his feet but has found himself mounted instead. Damn, that's gotta suck. Johnson manages to regain half guard. Good work. Johnson preventing any damage for now, controlling his opponent's head.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Lynch working Johnson over with strikes. Johnson gets full guard. Lynch working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Johnson looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Lynch postures up in Johnson's guard and throws a big left but Johnson blocks it. Johnson looking for a guillotine here but Lynch defends easily.

That's four minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Sloppy strikes there by Lynch. Johnson is looking for a sweep. Johnson can't do much from the bottom here.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Horrible takedown by Lynch or perhaps it was just good defense by Johnson which made him look bad. Johnson wants to clinch but Lynch slips to the side and Lynch counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena. Johnson pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Lynch throws a shot from downtown. Johnson moves away and avoids it.
And that's the end of the fight! Tim Lynch showed his dominance in that final round. I think Lynch has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
