The judges for this bout are William Gold, James Glass and Daniel Bishop.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gomez misses with a takedown
and Brock counters with a stiff right hand.
It looks like Charlie Gomez has been cut.
Gomez darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Gomez is trying to control the action in half guard but Brock is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
Gomez prevents Brock from improving his position.
Brock preventing any damage for now, controlling his opponent's head.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Brock wants to control but Gomez is keeping busy and won't allow it.
Gomez is trying to work for a kimura but Brock is defending well.

Gomez wants to work for an arm triangle but Brock is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Brock has his hands clasped together around Gomez's back. He's all about the action.
