Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Bryan Danielson (ranked 5227 p4p, 6639 weight class) and Martin Ferg (ranked 552 p4p, 636 weight class). Ferg has chosen The Purge as his entrance music. Bryan Danielson has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Bryan Danielson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Martin Ferg!
The judges for this bout are Sam Margolis, Richard Clark and Paul Tew.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ferg gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Ferg is scooting his butt against the cage and has managed to get back to his feet. Danielson presses him back against the cage, presumably looking to take the fight back to the mat.
Ferg is looking to break free of the clinch but Danielson has double underhooks.
Ferg is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage.
Danielson jumps guard but Ferg turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.
Danielson successfully pulls guard.
Ferg tries to stand but Danielson is controlling from the bottom.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Ferg would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
Ferg got a little sloppy there for a moment and Danielson has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Ferg has managed to get both his arms back between Danielson's legs - danger averted.

Ferg wants to stand but Danielson has a closed guard, so he can't escape.

Ferg sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Danielson's guard.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
It looks like Ferg is going to stand back up.
Ferg is using up a lot of energy trying to get back to his feet. Perhaps he should improve his position first.
Danielson is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Ferg pulls his head out easily.

Ferg seems to have lost interest with the ground game and is thinking about standing back up.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.

Ferg throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land.

Danielson dives in and grabs Ferg's left leg, looking for a takedown. Ferg pushes down on Danielson's head and hops out.

Danielson shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Ferg pinned against the cage. Ferg gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Ferg throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

Ferg will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Ferg throws a right hand that Danielson ducks under and follows up with a left that Danielson also avoids with ease.

Danielson misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.

Danielson looking to score a takedown here. Ferg is defending well but Danielson drives through and ends up in Ferg's guard.
Danielson is pushing down on Ferg's leg trying to pass to half guard. Ferg is fighting to maintain full guard but Danielson has managed to sneak the leg through.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Danielson shoots in looking for a takedown. Ferg tries to sprawl out of it but Danielson keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Ferg manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Danielson drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Danielson jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Ferg has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Danielson can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Danielson slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
Danielson has hold of Ferg's arm. He's looking for a kimura. Ferg seems comfortable defending it but Danielson has shifted his position slighty and is cranking on the arm! Ferg is real pain and he's forced to tap out! Ferg is disgusted with himself for not defending it better but Danielson couldn't care less - he's delighted!

Jumping up and down and very excited, Bryan Danielson waved his t-shirt featuring UNDEFEATED's logo in front of the cameras.
Martin Ferg spoke after the fight, saying 'That was a tought fight, My head wasn't there and I couldn't get into it properly, props to my opponent but I feel like I'm still a better fighter than him, just unlucky'.
