Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Leonardo Bocca (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gray Villa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Villa has chosen Get Sexy as his entrance music. Gray Villa will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Leonardo Bocca!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, Gray Villa!
The judges for this bout are Chris Edwards, Steven Brown and Daniel Bishop.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Villa will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Nice takedown defense from Bocca. No joy for Villa on that attempt.
Villa looks for a takedown but Bocca sprawls well.
Leonardo Bocca has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Gray Villa.

Bocca decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Bocca wants to control but Villa is keeping him busy.
Bocca wants to pass the guard but Villa is defending well.

Bocca decides to stand and escape the position.

Bocca is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Villa is just riding it out for now. Bocca eventually gives up the hold.

Villa wants to improve his position but Bocca is controlling well.

Bocca decides he's had enough of the ground and stands up.
Villa tries to grapple but his opponent circles

and Bocca counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Villa's guard now.
Bocca wants to pass the guard but Villa is keeping the position.
Villa is trying to hold Bocca in close to prevent damage but Bocca has managed to pass into half guard.

The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Villa avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Bocca.
Villa is in trouble now - Bocca has advanced to mount!
Villa looks gassed!
Villa keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.

Bocca jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Villa is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Villa and Bocca has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Bocca tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Bocca has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Bocca scores with a couple of short elbows.
Bocca is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Villa's shoulder. That is not cool.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.

Bocca stands up and beckons Villa to his feet.
Bocca tries to close the distance and clinch but Villa swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Gray Villa seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Bocca gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.
Bocca tries to score a body lock takedown but Villa shows good agility there to stay on his feet.
Villa has Bocca pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Bocca manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
The referee calls for Bocca to work.

Bocca wants the takedown. Villa is fighting it off but Bocca persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Villa's guard against the cage.
Bocca not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!



Bocca decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.

Villa scrambles, trying to get to his feet, but Bocca manages to mount him!

Bocca swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Villa is now in Bocca's guard. A big mistake from Bocca there, giving up the dominant position!
Bocca seems keen to control Villa's posture.

Bocca might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Villa is breathing heavily.
Villa is pushing down on Bocca's leg trying to pass to half guard. Bocca is fighting to maintain full guard but Villa has managed to sneak the leg through.
Bocca wants to control but Villa is keeping busy and won't allow it.
Bocca tries to get to full guard but Villa has control of the leg.

Villa wants to lay and pray for a moment but Bocca keeps working.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Bocca is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched.
Villa tries to break the clinch but Bocca is controlling the position.
Bocca is trying to drag Villa to the mat but Villa just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.
Villa is trying to maintain a safe position but Bocca gets an underhook and turns Villa into the cage.

Villa tries to pull guard but Bocca holds him up against the cage and eventually Villa drops back down to his feet.

Bocca has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Villa clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!
Bocca has the hooks sunk in and you can see the will to fight slowly draining out of Villa's body.

Bocca lands an elbow to the side of the head.

Bocca patiently working for the choke. Which fighter will keep their nerve here?
You know, I was talking to some of our celebrities at ringside tonight and they were split right down the middle on who was going to win this fight.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Villa really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Bocca. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Bocca trying to control momentarily.
Bocca slows the pace down here. Having a little breather whilst he's in a dominant position, looking to rest and regain some energy, ready to go for the finish.

The referee stands the fighters back up. Leonardo Bocca just wasn't active enough from the dominant position.
Villa swings and misses with a shot to the body

and Bocca counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Villa!
Bocca tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
Leonardo Bocca overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Bocca seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Villa for as long as he can get away with.

Bocca closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Villa moves into full guard.

Villa wants to get back to full guard.
Bocca perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
Bocca wants to pass to mount but Villa is defending the position.
Bocca throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
Villa takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Bocca escapes and gets back to his feet.
Bocca is looking to clinch.

Bocca takes the fight into the clinch.
Bocca prevents a takedown attempt there.

Bocca pulls Villa into guard.

Bocca looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Bocca is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Villa can do to turn this around?

Bocca is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.
Villa has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Bocca is proving hard to escape from.

Bocca bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Villa's guard.
Bocca passes Villa's left leg - he's now in half guard.

Bocca is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Bocca working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
Leonardo Bocca is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

Bocca works his foot free and advances to mount.
Bocca takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
Villa working to try and regain half guard.
Gray Villa has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Villa is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.

Well Bocca has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
