Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Nemanja Kenitov (ranked 6181 p4p, 4459 weight class) and Kobi Hoffmann (ranked 0 p4p, 512 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 2 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Nemanja Kenitov! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Kobi Hoffmann! The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Timothy Bukovac and Jack Bonds.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Hoffmann has a takedown stuffed. Kenitov fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Hoffmann. Kenitov throws a nice looking combination but Hoffmann bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Hoffmann throws a head kick that misses. Kenitov wants to take advantage of his opponent's missed offense by moving into the clinch. Hoffmann moves out of range of the body kick. Hoffmann cracks Kenitov with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage. Kenitov fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Hoffmann avoids it really well and circles away. Hoffmann changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Kenitov tries to avoid it but Hoffmann manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Kenitov to the ground. Kenitov escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Kenitov misses with a series of wild punches.
Kenitov moves in looking to clinch but Hoffmann pushes him off. Hoffmann is trying to avoid his opponent's strikes and get into the clinch. Kenitov gets tackled into the cage by Hoffmann. Hoffmann maintains the clinch. Kenitov is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage.
That's one minute gone in the round. Hoffmann jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Kenitov walks away with a smile on his face. Hoffmann gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. Nemanja Kenitov has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Kobi Hoffmann. No luck for Hoffmann with that takedown attempt. Hoffmann closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Hoffmann lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Kenitov backwards. Hoffmann breaks from the clinch.
Hoffmann fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Kenitov avoids it really well and circles away. Hoffmann fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done. Hoffmann dives in for a single leg takedown but Kenitov sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage. Crunch! Hoffmann slams his shin into Kenitov's torso.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Kenitov misses with a head kick.
Kenitov moves in looking to clinch but Hoffmann pushes him off. Kenitov tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Kenitov swinging wildly here.
Hoffmann lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected. Hoffmann circles away from the clinch attempt.
Kenitov shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Hoffmann pinned against the cage. Hoffmann gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Hoffmann tries to score a power double leg takedown but Kenitov sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Hoffmann somewhat. No luck for Kenitov with that takedown attempt. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Kenitov dives in and grabs Hoffmann's left leg, looking for a takedown. Hoffmann pushes down on Kenitov's head and hops out. Kenitov is breathing heavily.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Kenitov pulls out of a head kick attempt.
A combination from Kenitov does no damage. Hoffmann drives through and clinches with Kenitov against the cage.
Hoffmann jumps guard and drags Kenitov to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back. Kenitov postures up and lands some nice ground and pound. Hoffmann is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Hoffmann is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Kenitov chips away with some ground and pound. Kenitov postures up.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Hoffmann looking to control but Kenitov passes into half guard.
Hoffmann wants to get back to full guard. Kenitov has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Hoffmann defend it? Kenitov steps over the head and cranks it - Hoffmann is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Kenitov!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:26 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Nemanja Kenitov!
