Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Johnny Testward!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 12 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Mmm Mmm!
The judges for this bout are Damien Edna, Topper Green and Hugh Johnson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mmm blocks a jab.
Testward misses with a series of wild punches.
Testward is looking to land body kicks.
Mmm follows through with a counter body kick but it doesn't land.
Testward closes the distance and clinches.
Testward scores a nice knee to the body.
Testward pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Mmm tries to sprawl but Testward drives through with a takedown into half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Testward content to control rather than advance.
Testward decides to stand up.
Johnny Testward seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Mmm gets tackled into the cage by Testward. Testward maintains the clinch.
Mmm breaks from the clinch.
Testward shoots in for a takedown and gets it.

Mmm thinks about the counter body kick.

Testward fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Mmm is trying to counter with his kicks.

and Mmm counters with a big head kick but Testward shrugs it off.

Mmm throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Testward was covering up waiting for the punch and Mmm finishes the takedown easily into guard.
Testward has scooted to the edge of the canvas and used the cage to get back to his feet. Mmm has stuck on his opponent and is forcing him back against the cage.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Testward is trying to drag Mmm to the mat but Mmm just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.

Testward breaks the clinch.
Testward fails with the takedown
and Mmm counters with a nice body shot.
Mmm defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Testward.
Testward is breathing heavily.
Testward gets caught napping as Mmm dives in and scores a takedown. Testward manages to retain guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Testward wants to hit a sweep here but Mmm passes into full mount! Oh no, disaster for Testward there!
Testward tries to lock up and control but Mmm gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

Mmm takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
Mmm wants to control the pace but Testward is squirming around nicely.

Mmm tries to control but Testward wriggling away.

That was a close round but I would say that Johnny Testward will probably get the nod.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Testward looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Mmm is fending him off so far but Testward persists. Nope, Mmm circles away and we're back to standing.
Mmm changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Testward looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Testward tries to bench press Mmm off him but Mmm keeps the position.
Testward is not content to let Mmm control the position.
Mmm decides to stand back up. Mmm steps back and let's Testward get back to his feet.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Testward with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Testward drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Testward decides to take the fight back to the feet.

Testward darts in trying to clinch
and Mmm counters with a good, hard body kick but Testward shrugs it off.
Testward wants to clinch.
Mmm darts in looking for a takedown but Testward gets double underhooks and turns Mmm into the cage.
Mmm feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Testward is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Testward is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Mmm trying to control but Testward is working from the bottom.
Testward wants to sweep but no luck.
Mmm won't allow Testward to get back to his feet.
Mmm slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.

Testward pulls Mmm in close to his closed guard and prevents Mmm from doing any damage or advancing position.
Testward wants to control but instead he gets his guard passed and Mmm is now in half guard.
Mmm stands up and beckons Testward to join him on the feet.
Mmm stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Mmm wants it to stay on the feet.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Testward.
Mmm is clearly looking to counter with head kicks.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Testward rushes Mmm and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Mmm is trying to break the clinch but Testward has him pressed against the cage.
Testward drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Mmm gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Testward has Mmm pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Testward pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Mmm tumbling to the mat - Testward dives into Mmm's guard.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Testward won't allow Mmm to get back to his feet.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Mmm shoots for a double leg takedown but Testward sprawls well. He's pushed Mmm's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Testward shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Mmm pinned against the cage. Mmm gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Testward tries to clinch but Mmm moves out of range.
Mmm tries for a takedown but Testward sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.

Testward fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Mmm.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Testward.

and Mmm counters with a head kick. That will keep Testward thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks!

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Testward with a lazy takedown attempt
and Mmm counters with a two punch combo.
Mmm swats away the attempt to clinch by Testward.
And Mmm responds with a good body kick, but Testward manages to step out the way in time.
Mmm Mmm seems to be getting the better of the standup.
A momentary lapse in concentration from Testward enables Mmm to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Testward manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
Testward wants to get back to his feet but he's too absorbed in his own little project and Mmm manages to pass to side control.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Mmm Mmm has got the better of the ground game so far.
Testward is trying to stand up here but Mmm is controlling him well.
And that's the end of the fight!
Mmm Mmm comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Mmm has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
