Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Riccardo Corleone (ranked 5212 p4p, 5386 weight class) and Penny Ming (ranked 537 p4p, 551 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Riccardo Corleone!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Penny Ming!
The judges for this bout are George Francis, Robert Twigg and Cecil Peabody.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Corleone.
Ming fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Corleone looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Ming works the jab nicely.
Ming tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Corleone defends well and Ming ends up having to push Corleone into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.

Corleone falls off balance throwing a combination
and Ming counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Ming cracks Corleone with a good jab.
Ming drives through and clinches with Corleone against the cage.
Corleone lands a nice trip takedown into half guard.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Corleone wants to work for an arm triangle but Ming is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Ming is controlling Corleone's trapped leg to prevent Corleone from advancing to side control.
Corleone trying to control the pace.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Ming is not content to let Corleone control the position.
Ming preventing any damage for now, controlling his opponent's head.
Corleone stops Ming from getting back to his feet.
Corleone thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Ming's head.
Corleone looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
Corleone working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Ming is trying to control but can't.
Corleone seems to have lost interest with the ground game and is thinking about standing back up.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Ming wants to get back to his feet.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Ming trying to control here.
Corleone winds up and cracks Ming with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
Ming pushes Corleone off looking to stand but Corleone dives back in and keeps control.
Corleone prevents Ming from improving his position.
Ming trying to control but Corleone postures up.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up.
A good leg kick by Ming.
Ming goes for a high kick. It partially lands.
It looks like Riccardo Corleone has been cut.
Penny Ming seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Corleone on the wrong end of a nice hook.
Corleone doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
A lazy left from Ming finds it's target.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
Ming tries to clinch there but Corleone circles away.
Ming thuds his shin into the meat of Corleone's side.
Corleone backs away from a small jab... but Ming lunges forward with a huge superman punch! Corleone crumples to the ground as his mouth piece is sent flying! Ming with a spectacular finish!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:16 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Superman Punch). Penny Ming!
