And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Charlie IV!
The judges for this bout are Percy O'Donnell, Frank Antenori and Timothy Bukovac.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
IV throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Bonzela Franco stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Bonzela Franco throws a series of punches but IV moves out of range.
Bonzela Franco tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.

A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Bonzela Franco.
Bonzela Franco ducks right into an uppercut from IV.
Bonzela Franco takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.

IV is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.

IV's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
IV stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Bonzela Franco swivels though and keeps the full guard.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Bonzela Franco wants to control the action here but instead IV manages to pass to full mount!
IV goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now Bonzela Franco is on top in guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Bonzela Franco controls the pace of the fight for a moment.

IV is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.
Bonzela Franco might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

IV is still trying to improve position.
IV is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

Bonzela Franco stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. IV swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Bonzela Franco drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but IV manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Bonzela Franco has IV in his guard.
IV tries to free his leg and advance position but Bonzela Franco is retaining full guard.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Bonzela Franco is trying to control the position but IV postures up.

In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw IV working his ground and pound in the gym. He isn't landing a great percentage of his ground strikes so far though.

Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
Bonzela Franco tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but IV swivels and escapes.

and IV counters with a stiff right hand.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Charlie IV dominated that round.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!
Bonzela Franco throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
IV works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.

IV is loading up here, looking for a big counter of his own.
IV sends Bonzela Franco crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! IV is motioning to the referee to let Bonzela Franco up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet!

It looks like Pedro Bonzela Franco has been cut.
IV has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
IV closes the distance and lands a brutal uppercut that knocks Bonzela Franco out! We're looking at the replay now - he was out before he hit the floor!
