The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tukhugov closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.

Oh Heredia is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Tukhugov is looking for a kimura but Heredia is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Tukhugov to get the leverage.

Heredia tries to strike from the bottom but it doesn't land.
Tukhugov lands a big elbow from half guard. That looks like it's hurt Heredia quite badly. Heredia pulls Tukhugov in close trying to recover. Tukhugov postures up and lands two really hard shots that put Heredia on queer street! The ref takes a look and decides to call an end to the fight! Possibly an early stoppage but Heredia doesn't seem to be complaining too much.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:34 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Magomed Tukhugov!
Magomed Tukhugov decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
