Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Raminus Polus (ranked 513 p4p, 662 weight class) and Gustav Harakka (ranked 76 p4p, 99 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 14 - 4 - 0, fighting out of New York, Raminus Polus!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Gustav Harakka!
The judges for this bout are James Glass, Phil Schofield and Paul Tew.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Harakka tries a low kick but Polus avoids it.
Harakka throws an overhand right that lands on Polus's shoulder, as Polus tries to avoid the shot.
Harakka throws a head kick that misses.
Polus is looking to counter with a shot to the body.
Harakka tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Harakka misses with a wild body shot.
Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Harakka swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Polus.

It looks like Raminus Polus has been cut.
Polus misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Harakka throws a shot from downtown. Polus moves away and avoids it.
Polus is looking to counter punch.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Polus misses with a straight left.
Harakka throws a chopping leg kick but Polus manages to avoid taking any serious damage.
Polus feinted with a counter takedown.
Polus looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Harakka closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.
Harakka clobbers Polus with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
Nice defenses there by Polus.
The fighters circling - Harakka throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Polus uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Harakka.
Polus attempts a counter takedown but Harakka avoids it well and moves away.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Polus takes a swing at Harakka's ribcage but misses.
Harakka throws the kick towards the body but Polus avoids it.
A nice inside leg kick there by Harakka. That's going to slow Polus down.
Harakka jabs Polus right on the nose. Polus blinks but takes it well.
Polus throws a body shot but no joy.
Polus misses with the combination.
Harakka throws a fast counter high kick but Polus manages to duck under it in time.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Harakka throws a hook but Polus avoids it easily.
Polus feinted with a counter takedown.
Harakka throws a wild body kick that Polus sees coming a mile off.
Polus ducks under a wild hook from Harakka.
Polus throws a left and a right that both miss
and Harakka counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Harakka lands a nice hook to Polus's body. Polus takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
Harakka looks to land a left hand but Polus moved out of range nicely.
Harakka throws out a powerful jab.

Raminus Polus's cut is getting worse.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Harakka misses with an uppercut. Polus saw that one coming.
Polus misses with a few strikes there.
Polus avoids the body shot from Harakka.
Polus changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
Harakka throws a big shot that misses.
Polus swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
The fighters circle momentarily. Harakka darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Harakka drops Polus with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Polus looks back up at him and smiles so Harakka waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.

Polus is rocked!
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Gustav Harakka dominated that round.
The cut man is working on Raminus Polus's cut.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.

Harakka thows a left - swing and a miss!
Harakka connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
Polus blocks a low kick nicely.
Harakka has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Harakka dips to his left and cracks Polus with an uppercut!
Harakka does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.
Polus tries to counter with a takedown but Harakka is quick to defend against it.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Harakka pushes Polus away with a front kick.
Harakka tries to land a leg kick but Polus saw it coming and moves away.
This entire fight has taken place on the feet so far and you wonder whether Polus might be better served trying to take this one to the ground because he's losing the standup battle so far.

Polus checks a leg kick nicely.
A counter left hand to the body from Polus misses its target.
Harakka throws a jab but it's blocked by Polus.
Polus moves out of range of the strikes.
Harakka throws a leg kick which misses Polus's front leg but catches the back leg as Polus tries to avoid it.
Harakka takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Harakka misses with an uppercut.
Polus attempts a counter takedown but Harakka avoids it well and moves away.
Polus takes a body kick right on the floating rib. Ouchie.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Harakka throws a leg kick but Polus sees it coming and moves out of range.
Polus tries to counter with a takedown but Harakka is quick to defend against it.
Harakka dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Donk. Harakka catches Polus right on the button with a cross.

Raminus Polus's cut is bleeding quite badly. He's got to try and protect it.

Harakka cracks Polus with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Harakka has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Polus to stand back up!
Oh Polus is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Polus throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Harakka uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Polus.
Polus seems to have got his legs back now.
Harakka moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Harakka lands a big right hand that sends Polus crashing to the mat! Harakka stays standing though and waves Polus back to his feet!

Jeez, Raminus Polus's cut is really nasty now. The referee must be thinking about getting that checked.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Raminus Polus's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:19 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Cut). Gustav Harakka!
Gustav Harakka seemed lost for words in his post fight interview but he remembered to thank his fans and directed everyone to his website.
