Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jamie Martin (ranked 4458 p4p, 4504 weight class) and Mario Gambino (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Martin lands a left and a right that send Gambino crashing to the mat, dazed. Martin thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!

It looks like Mario Gambino has been cut.
Martin doesn't manage to clinch there - Gambino circles away.
Martin shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Gambino as he avoids it easily.
Martin fails in his attempt to clinch.
Gambino should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Martin shoots for a double leg takedown but Gambino sprawls well. He's pushed Martin's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Gambino is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Martin can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
