Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Juan Martinez!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jon Bondarenko!
The judges for this bout are Shigeki Fujiwara, Shirou Masuda and Taro Takaoka.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bondarenko throws a hook to the side of Martinez's head but Martinez sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Sloppy strikes from Bondarenko. Those never looked like landing.
Bondarenko tries to clinch up but Martinez circles away and keeps his distance.
Martinez was looking to counter that last move with a shot to the body but he didn't commit.
Martinez looks to throw the jab but Bondarenko is out of range.
Martinez changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.

Martinez decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Ground and pound from Martinez.
Martinez working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
Bondarenko throws a strike from the bottom that misses.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Martinez lands a nice short elbow.
Martinez is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Bondarenko has hold of Martinez's hands but Martinez slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Martinez connects with a nice short shot to Bondarenko's temple.
Martinez landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent.
Martinez slows the pace down in half guard.
Martinez scores with a couple of good hammerfists.

Bondarenko is rocked!

Martinez is sitting in half guard. He's postured up and lands a nice elbow. Oh, Bondarenko is hurt! He's hurt bad - Martinez fires away with more strikes and the referee jumps in to save Bondarenko from any more punishment! Congratulations to Martinez! Great finish!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:38 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Juan Martinez!
During a confident post fight interview, Juan Martinez thanked all his fans. He seemed very genuine when describing how motivated his fans keep him.
