Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Sergei Sokolov (ranked 3689 p4p, 5906 weight class) and Dariusz Maczek (ranked 123 p4p, 188 weight class). Sokolov comes into the arena with The Jack Wood - Murder blaring out of the sound system. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Sergei Sokolov!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Dariusz Maczek !
The judges for this bout are Valeri Chadov, Vladimir Khabensky and Illya Tyunina.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sokolov throws a nice looking combination but Maczek bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Sokolov drives through with a takedown into Maczek 's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.
Sokolov is pushing down on Maczek 's leg trying to pass to half guard. Maczek is fighting to maintain full guard but Sokolov has managed to sneak the leg through.
Sokolov seems to have lost interest with the ground game and is thinking about standing back up.
Maczek felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Maczek can do anything to dispel that myth.
Sokolov stands, ready to strike. The ref makes him back up and allows Maczek to get to his feet.
Sokolov looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio.
A momentary lapse in concentration from Maczek enables Sokolov to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Maczek manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

Sokolov wants to lay and pray for a moment but Maczek keeps working.

Well, if Sokolov is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
Sokolov is sitting in half guard. He's postured up and lands a nice elbow. Oh, Maczek is hurt! He's hurt bad - Sokolov fires away with more strikes and the referee jumps in to save Maczek from any more punishment! Congratulations to Sokolov! Great finish!
