The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Foss throws a body kick that misses
letting Ruiz counter with a right hand.

It looks like Mads Foss has been cut.
Foss takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Ruiz connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head.

Ruiz throws a nice inside leg kick.
Ruiz tries to close the distance and clinch but Foss swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Ruiz scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.

Ruiz has the Thai plumb, controlling the head nicely. He loads up with a big knee to the head and Foss goes down! Ruiz pounces into side control - this one could be over soon!

Ruiz rushes Foss with punches - Foss moves straight backwards instead of circling and gets clipped by the second strike... and the third... and the fourth! Oh, Foss goes down! Ruiz follows up with more strikes and the ref steps in to end the bout!

Anthony Ruiz decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
