Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Jermaine Camacho (ranked 1900 p4p, 2141 weight class) and Grant Dukes (ranked 242 p4p, 268 weight class). Jermaine Camacho has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 16 - 17 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jermaine Camacho! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 9 - 4 - 2, fighting out of New York, Grant Dukes! The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Alan Glass and Chris Downing.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Dukes takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness. Camacho has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Ludus Magnus in the buildup to the fight. Camacho just misses with a punch to the body.
Dukes feints the counter takedown. Jab by Camacho. Camacho tries a head kick but it misses.
Camacho keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Dukes. Dukes moves out of range of the strikes. Camacho misses with an uppercut
and Dukes connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Dukes has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout. Dukes lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected. Camacho throws a right and a left that Dukes avoids nicely. Dukes missing with a left hand there. Camacho was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. A big right from Dukes misses. Dukes just misses with a punch to the body.
Camacho drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. This has been an exciting period of action! Camacho tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Camacho has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Dukes is trying to get back to half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Dukes is not content to let Camacho control the position. Camacho tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it. Dukes is positioning himself to get back to half guard. Camacho tries for a kimura but Dukes is defending well. Dukes is trying to improve his position. Dukes keeps trying to improve his position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Camacho thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Camacho trying to control the position but Dukes is working away. Camacho tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. Camacho is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Dukes has escaped the position, nice work there. Dukes struggling a bit here. Camacho is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Dukes is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Dukes is trying to maintain the position but Camacho is very close to passing his half guard. Camacho is looking to take a break and control but Dukes is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Dukes trying to control from the bottom.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Camacho is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Dukes sees it coming and defends easily. Dukes is looking for a sweep. Camacho is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Dukes is not content to let Camacho control the position. Dukes wants to improve his position but Camacho is controlling well.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Camacho lands with a cross. Camacho misses with an uppercut
and Dukes counters with a left to the body. Camacho throws a right and a left that both miss. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Jermaine Camacho dominated that round. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!
Dukes throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Camacho was covering up waiting for the punch and Dukes finishes the takedown easily into guard. Dukes showing good wrestling skills to control the position. Dukes is pushing down on Camacho's leg trying to pass to half guard. Camacho is fighting to maintain full guard but Dukes has managed to sneak the leg through. Camacho is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Dukes's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Dukes's back! Dukes trying to control the hands but Camacho won't let him. Camacho working for a RNC but it's not happening just yet. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Camacho is remaining active here, looking for the choke. The more discerning members of the crowd will appreciate his efforts.

He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Dukes's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Camacho. Dukes is controlling Camacho's posture. Camacho slips effortlessly into side control - very nice. Camacho is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Dukes can do to turn this around? Camacho is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Dukes has escaped the position, nice work there. Dukes tries to bench press Camacho off him but Camacho keeps the position. Camacho looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. Jermaine Camacho overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Dukes is trying to control Camacho's posture but Camacho avoids it.

Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Camacho passes easily into side control. Nice work. Dukes can't do much from the bottom here. Camacho is trying to land an Americana. That was a close second round but I would say that Jermaine Camacho will probably get the nod. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!
