The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Big Daddy throws a body shot but no joy.
Hoost throws out a counter right but Big Daddy avoids it with no problem.
No joy there for Hoost, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Hoost rushes Big Daddy and presses him up against the cage.
Big Daddy breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
A looping hook to the body misses from Hoost. Big Daddy does a little dance to reset his feet.
Big Daddy looks to land a left hand but Hoost moved out of range nicely.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Hoost steps in looking to counter with the mid kick but it doesn't connect.

We've been told by Big Daddy 's head coaches at Iron Sharpens Iron that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
Hoost moves out of range of the strikes.
A nice side step and Hoost releases a counter shot to the body, but it doesn't find it's home.

Big Daddy throws a right hand that Hoost ducks under and follows up with a left that Hoost also avoids with ease.

Big Daddy looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it.
Hoost ducks right into an uppercut from Big Daddy .
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
The fighters circle momentarily. Hoost darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.

Hoost cracks Big Daddy with a right hand to the side of the head.

Big Daddy appears to be looking for a counter punch to the body.

and Hoost counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.
Hoost throws a nice looking combination but Big Daddy bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

Big Daddy cracks Hoost with a good jab.
That has opened up Clarence Hoost's cut even more.
Big Daddy connects with a high kick.
Hoost moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot.
Big Daddy jabbing away but nothing is landing.

Hoost has been working his punching technique in the buildup to the fight and it appears to be paying off.

Hoost misses with a low kick as Big Daddy jumps back.
It looked like Big Daddy wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.
Big Daddy wants to stay close but Hoost steps back to make room for something. Big Daddy seems frozen to the spot and bam! huge swing of the leg from Hoost and Big Daddy drops like he has been shot! A huge head kick and it's all over!

Clarence Hoost decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
