Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Leroy Brown (ranked 900 p4p, 1967 weight class) and Bruno Fortuna (ranked 134 p4p, 287 weight class). Fortuna is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Godfather Theme by Nino Rota. The fight MMA fans around the world have waited their entire lives for!

And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 1, fighting out of Montreal, Bruno Fortuna!
The judges for this bout are Alec Ball, Ian Loll and Gregory Folan.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fortuna loads up on a big right hand but Brown slips the punch.
Brown looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Fortuna misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Fortuna throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Brown looked to counter that last move with a leg kick but didn't pull the trigger.

Fortuna closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Brown jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Fortuna walks away with a smile on his face. Brown gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

Fortuna moves in looking to clinch but Brown pushes him off.
We've been informed that Fortuna has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result.
Bruno Fortuna seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Fortuna rushes Brown and presses him up against the cage.
A right hook to the body lands for Brown.
Fortuna has a couple of punches blocked by Brown.
Brown fails to pull guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Brown is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Fortuna to keep the fight standing.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Leroy Brown. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Brown misses with a hook from the clinch.
Fortuna comes over the top with an elbow. That landed flush.
Brown takes an elbow to the temple.

Brown tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Fortuna's elbow.

Fortuna pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Brown with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Fortuna to score with a decent uppercut.
Fortuna tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Brown manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Brown has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Fortuna finds it's way round the side to connect with Brown's head.
Fortuna bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Brown's head backwards.
Brown ducks under a wild hook from Fortuna.
The fighters circle momentarily. Brown darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
Fortuna tries a head kick but it misses.
Brown fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Fortuna has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
Brown looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.

and Brown counters with a slapping leg kick.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Fortuna throws a body punch but Brown moves out of range.

Brown takes one to the chin there.
Fortuna misses with a double jab.
A counter left hand to the body from Brown misses its target.
A leg kick checked by Brown.
A low kick from Brown misses
and Fortuna counters with a good low kick that Brown was not able to check.
Fortuna lands a high kick!

Brown is rocked!
Brown cracks Fortuna with a right hand to the side of the head.
Fortuna blocks a leg kick.
Fortuna throws a predictable looking body shot
and Brown counters with a left right combination that sends Fortuna crashing to the mat - Brown wastes no time in diving on top of him and pounding Fortuna out for a TKO! Devastating finish!
