Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Aythami Garcia!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Charlie Potthast!
The judges for this bout are Trevor Gratis, Steve Smith and Robert Douchet.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Potthast lands a really nice looking cross but Garcia seems unphased.
Potthast throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Garcia counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Garcia looks to score with a jab to the body but Potthast is just out of range.
Potthast swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Garcia tries to counter by clinching up but Potthast breaks away and moves out of range.
A punch combination from Garcia misses.
Potthast circles away from the clinch attempt.
Potthast scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard.
Potthast misses the jab.

Potthast sends Garcia crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! Potthast is motioning to the referee to let Garcia up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet!

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Garcia doesn't manage to clinch there - Potthast circles away.
Garcia looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.

Potthast has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
Potthast throws a nice looking combination but Garcia bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

Garcia fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Potthast has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.

Potthast clobbers Garcia with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
Charlie Potthast is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Garcia shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Potthast sprawls well. Potthast wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Garcia gets slowly back to his feet.
Potthast misses with a hook.

Oh Garcia is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Garcia throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Garcia seems to have got his legs back now.
Good standup being displayed there by Potthast as he connects with a hook.
Potthast takes a head kick and shrugs it off.
Potthast swings for the body but Garcia moves out of range.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Potthast sizes up Garcia with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.
Potthast might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable.

Garcia was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.

Potthast is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Garcia had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into mush.

Potthast is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.

Garcia forces Potthast back against the cage and clinches.
Potthast wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.
Potthast wants to break the clinch but can't.
Potthast stalling against the cage.
Come on Potthast - let's have some action - none of this stalling nonsense.
Potthast continues to stall. The referee tells him to work or he's going to break them up.
Garcia is looking to break free of the clinch but Potthast has double underhooks.
The referee calls for Potthast to work.

Potthast breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Potthast throws a hook but Garcia blocks it.
Garcia tries to clinch up but Potthast circles away and keeps his distance.
Garcia throws a big shot that misses.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
A combination from Garcia does no damage.
Potthast lands with a right hand.
Garcia on the wrong end of a nice jab.
Garcia will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Nice body kick from Garcia.
A telegraphed right hand from Potthast misses the target.
A slow jab from Potthast misses its intended target.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
