And in the blue corner, fighting out of Las Vegas, with a TWGC record of 18 wins and 15 losses; Joshua Brown! The judges for this bout are Hugh Johnson, Eliza Hachem and Ben Watson.
The fighters bow as they face eachother in the middle of the mat and we are under way. Conforto clinches with his opponent.
Brown pulls guard. Brown is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Conforto is aware though and is defending well. Conforto drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Brown dives on top into guard. Score +2 for sweep to guard / half guard: Conforto (0) vs (2) Brown Conforto controls Brown momentarily but Brown frees himself. Conforto lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard. Conforto drops back, looking for a kneebar! Brown looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Brown looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Brown! Brown seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense. Conforto tries to roll over but Brown keeps him under control. My spies in Rabid Dog inform me that Brown has been getting involved in the gym's BJJ sparring sessions. Let's see whether that pays dividends! Conforto is looking for a sweep. Brown working away. The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.

Conforto is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Brown is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him. Conforto can't escape the position.
You know, I was talking to some of our celebrities at ringside tonight and they were split right down the middle on who was going to win this fight.

Conforto has hold of Brown's leg, trying to break free but it's let Brown lock up a rear naked choke! This could be big trouble! Conforto is turning an unusual color here… he's out! Brown throws him to one side and jumps onto the ropes to celebrate with his fans.
