Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Kingsley Nasir (ranked 3764 p4p, 3506 weight class) and Alexander Cotilla (ranked 476 p4p, 455 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Kingsley Nasir! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Alexander Cotilla! The judges for this bout are Jorge Garcia, David Schapiro and Anthony Taglia.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Cotilla tries to land a leg kick but Nasir saw it coming and moves away.
Nasir misses with a telegraphed body shot
and Cotilla counters with a nice uppercut. Nasir misses the jab. A swing and a miss from Nasir. Nasir misses with a hook
and Cotilla counters with a right hand to the body. Cotilla gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Nasir to score an easy takedown into full guard. Cotilla preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Nasir with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal. Nasir has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Cotilla managing to control the position. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Nasir content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots. Cotilla looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it. Nasir trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
That's one minute gone in the round. Nasir controls the pace of the fight for a moment. Nasir throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Cotilla works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Cotilla wants to control but instead he gets his guard passed and Nasir is now in half guard. Nasir is keen to just control but Cotilla is a slippery customer. Cotilla blocking the ground and pound attempt from Nasir. The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Cotilla is refusing to be controlled, as Nasir sits in half guard. Cotilla has his hands clasped together around Nasir's back. He's all about the action. Cotilla is continuing to stall.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Cotilla blocking the ground and pound attempt from Nasir. Nasir controlling the action here. Nasir tries to pass the half guard into mount. Cotilla knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt. Nasir sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Cotilla defending well though. Cotilla trying to control from the bottom.
Cotilla wants to get back to full guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Cotilla is controlling Nasir's position as best he can from this difficult position.
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. Cotilla misses with a looping left. Cotilla connects with a good right hand that stumbles Nasir. Nasir circles away out of range and recomposes himself. Nasir shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Cotilla sprawls well. Cotilla wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Nasir gets slowly back to his feet. Cotilla looks like he wants to counter punch here. Cotilla thuds a left hand into Nasir's body. Cotilla blocks a jab. Cotilla looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it. Cotilla lands a really nice looking cross but Nasir seems unphased.
Nasir goes for a double leg but Cotilla avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Cotilla continues to drive forward. Nasir can't get the takedown.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Kingsley Nasir. That's going to take a lot out of him.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Cotilla breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Alexander Cotilla is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Cotilla connects with a good right hand that stumbles Nasir. Nasir circles away out of range and recomposes himself. Nasir throws an overhand right that lands on Cotilla's shoulder, as Cotilla tries to avoid the shot. A decent looking cross lands there for Cotilla. Cotilla uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Cotilla connects with a crisp jab. Cotilla throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Cotilla uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook. Nasir throws a body punch but Cotilla moves out of range. Nasir throws a lazy uppercut
and Cotilla counters with a lovely straight right hand! Cotilla throws a good cross that connects.
Nasir shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Cotilla's guard. Nasir throws an elbow that misses. Cotilla uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Nasir's guard. Nice move by Cotilla!
Nasir is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Cotilla is aware though and is defending well. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Alexander Cotilla dominated that round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! Cotilla uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Nasir. Cotilla cracks Nasir with an open hand slap. Cotilla throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

Cotilla uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Nasir. Cotilla moves away from the strike by Nasir. Nasir decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. Nasir trying to control the action but Cotilla is working from the bottom. Cotilla has been the more effective fighter overall so far. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Nasir thows a huge punch but Cotilla dodges it nicely.
Cotilla is not content to let Nasir control the position. Cotilla is trying to control but can't.
That's one minute gone in the round. Cotilla works his way to full guard. Good work. Cotilla is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Cotilla keeping moving, preventing Nasir from controlling successfully. Nasir is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Cotilla is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him. Cotilla looking for a sweep. Not yet Cotilla, not yet. Cotilla has Nasir pulled in close to control his posture. Nasir working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Cotilla has control of Nasir's left arm, preventing Nasir from doing any damage. If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Nasir swings and misses with a hook to the body.

and Cotilla counters with a one-two to the body. Nasir throws a hook but Cotilla avoids it easily. Despite the aggression on Cotilla's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter. Kingsley Nasir seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Nice shot lands for Cotilla. Cotilla darts in and out, connecting with a jab. Nasir misses the shot to the body. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Nasir is defended easily by Cotilla. Cotilla scores with a hook. Nasir ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Cotilla moves away. Cotilla slips under a jab from Nasir.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Cotilla lands a jab to Nasir's midsection. No luck for Nasir with that takedown attempt. A little jabbing left from Cotilla on the counter but it doesn't find it's target. Cotilla defending well as Nasir loads up on a big left hand. Cotilla lands a glancing blow to the side of Nasir's head. Nasir throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Cotilla's waist but Cotilla gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Nasir off to one side. Cotilla stalks Nasir and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Nasir's face. Nasir staggers backwards, shaken. Nasir misses with an uppercut. Cotilla jabs Nasir right on the nose. Nasir blinks but takes it well. Nasir looks to score with a jab to the body but Cotilla is just out of range. Nasir misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Cotilla.
Cotilla might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable. Nasir dodges the punch combination from Cotilla.
Cotilla tried to score with a low kick but Nasir checks it.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Cotilla lands a slapping body shot.

Cotilla lunges at Nasir with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Nasir's hand. Nice defenses there by Cotilla. Nice straight punches there by Cotilla. Nasir throws a lazy right hand but Cotilla sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. Cotilla bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Nasir's head. Nasir throws a shot from downtown. Cotilla moves away and avoids it. Nasir fails to land the takedown. Nasir misses with a body shot
enabling Cotilla to counter with a crisp jab. Nasir rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Cotilla counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Nasir takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Alexander Cotilla showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round! Nasir throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Cotilla avoids a lazy jab quite easily. Nasir swings away with a body shot that misses
and Cotilla cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Cotilla lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
Nasir shoots in looking for a takedown but Cotilla manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Nasir's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Nasir keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Jab by Cotilla. Nasir looks like he's developed a pretty tasty lump over his left eye. He'll need to avoid taking much more damage to that. Nasir fails with the takedown and Cotilla connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. A jab lands there for Cotilla.
Nasir is rocked! Cotilla lands an uppercut out of nowhere! Nasir falls backwards - clearly groggy! Cotilla dives in and finishes the fight with more strikes for a TKO finish!
