PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Moe Lester (ranked 1438 p4p, 19844 weight class) and Roman Boesku (ranked 198 p4p, 657 weight class). Lester comes to the cage accompanied by Get Back - Ludacris. Boesku has chosen Fight Music as his entrance music. The key to victory for Moe Lester has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 12 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Roman Boesku!
The judges for this bout are Colin Fotheringham, Andrew Berry and Sam Margolis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lester lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
Boesku tries to move into range but Lester moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.
Lester slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.
Lester connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
Lester displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Boesku.
Boesku keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Lester uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.
Boesku throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Lester's waist but Lester gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Boesku off to one side.
Boesku takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Lester has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.
