Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Neil McNamara!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jerry Gamaceh!
The judges for this bout are Steve Erwin, Bruno Hogan and Winston Howard.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McNamara swinging wildly here.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from McNamara.
Gamaceh darts in trying to clinch

so McNamara counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
McNamara showing good wrestling skills to control the position.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Gamaceh is trying to hold McNamara in close to prevent damage but McNamara has managed to pass into half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

McNamara is trying to work for a kimura but Gamaceh is defending well.
McNamara takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
McNamara works his way into side control.

McNamara decides to stand back up. McNamara steps back and let's Gamaceh get back to his feet.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Gamaceh avoids the head kick by McNamara.
Gamaceh keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
McNamara shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Gamaceh but Gamaceh pushes him off and we're back to square one.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Gamaceh! But no joy.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Neil McNamara. That's going to take a lot out of him.

McNamara closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Gamaceh's guard.
McNamara controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
McNamara stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Gamaceh swivels though and keeps the full guard.
McNamara wants to get up but he can't break Gamaceh's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

Gamaceh is trying to keep McNamara in close.

We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.

McNamara stands up from Gamaceh's guard - McNamara perhaps looking for a knockout.
Gamaceh scores with a jab. McNamara acknowledges it with a nod of the head.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Gamaceh cracks McNamara with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.
Gamaceh connects with a nice looking jab.
Gamaceh connects with a crisp jab.
McNamara takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Gamaceh has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight.
Gamaceh feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits McNamaras jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!
Gamaceh lands the left hand.
Gamaceh stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Gamaceh wants it to stay on the feet.
McNamara takes a shot right to the bread basket.
Gamaceh blocks the body kick.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Gamaceh tries to clinch but fails miserably

and McNamara counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Gamaceh really doesn't want to stay on the ground with McNamara. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

McNamara is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

Gamaceh is trying to control the position here. McNamara has hold of a guillotine from the top though... oh, that looks naaaaasty, will Gamaceh tap? Yes he will! The fight is all over! McNamara jumps to his feet and is applauded loudly by the crowd.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:58 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Guillotine). Neil McNamara!
