Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Karsten Koererlaerer (ranked 1953 p4p, 2923 weight class) and Jean Labosky (ranked 205 p4p, 289 weight class). Man, I cannot wait for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 9 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Karsten Koererlaerer! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 32 - 59 - 1, fighting out of New York, Jean Labosky! The judges for this bout are Daniel Blasius, Albert Achterberg and Paulsen Ambrosius.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Koererlaerer misses with a left hand and Labosky counters with a nice body shot. Labosky avoids a punch combination nicely.
A punch combination from Labosky misses. Labosky slaps away a takedown attempt from Koererlaerer, before circling back to the center of the mat. Koererlaerer gets in close and instigates a clinch. Koererlaerer is trying to drag Labosky to the mat but Labosky just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there. Labosky is defending well against a takedown attempt. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Karsten Koererlaerer. That's going to take a lot out of him. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Koererlaerer is looking to take this one to the mat. Koererlaerer has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Labosky is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet. Labosky is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Koererlaerer pulls him back up using the underhooks. Koererlaerer changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Labosky fights it off and pushes away nicely.

Labosky unleashes a big counter combination but Koererlaerer bobs and weaves and avoids any damage. Koererlaerer misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Labosky replies with a solid counter kick to the body but Koererlaerer blocks it well.
That's one minute gone in the round. Labosky gets caught napping as Koererlaerer dives in and scores a takedown. Labosky manages to retain guard. Koererlaerer preventing the sweep. Labosky seems keen to control Koererlaerer's posture. Koererlaerer slips nicely into half guard. Labosky is refusing to be controlled, as Koererlaerer sits in half guard. Labosky is looking for a sweep. Koererlaerer is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Koererlaerer lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt. The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Koererlaerer connects with a nice short shot to Labosky's temple. We've been hearing that Koererlaerer has been drilling a lot of ground and pound in training, so let's see if he get the finish.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Koererlaerer trying to control the action but Labosky is working from the bottom. Labosky is trying to get back to full guard. Nice strikes from Koererlaerer there. Labosky manages to get to full guard.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Koererlaerer's corner. There ya go! There ya go! Koererlaerer lands a couple of decent looking shots. Labosky working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Koererlaerer. Koererlaerer is in close to Labosky's body, working some short punches and elbows. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Koererlaerer postures up and lands a big shot to Labosky's brow. Koererlaerer has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Labosky keeping moving, preventing Koererlaerer from controlling successfully. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Koererlaerer scoring with some ground and pound. Labosky looking to hit a scissor sweep but Koererlaerer is one step ahead there. Koererlaerer controls from within his opponent's guard. Koererlaerer trying to control but Labosky is working from the bottom. Koererlaerer is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Koererlaerer stops Labosky from standing up. Koererlaerer is stalling in the full guard. Koererlaerer works over Labosky with some ground and pound from guard. Koererlaerer wants to control from the top but Labosky keeps moving. Labosky is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Koererlaerer working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Labosky's head. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Labosky preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Koererlaerer keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Labosky's head. Labosky pulls Koererlaerer in close to his closed guard and prevents Koererlaerer from doing any damage or advancing position. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Karsten Koererlaerer dominated that round. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! Koererlaerer throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Koererlaerer is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Labosky can do to turn this around? A looping hook to the body misses from Koererlaerer. Labosky does a little dance to reset his feet. Nice sprawl there from Labosky as Koererlaerer shoots in. Labosky stuffs the takedown attempt from Koererlaerer. Koererlaerer gets slowly back to his feet. Koererlaerer shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Labosky as he avoids it easily. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Karsten Koererlaerer. That's going to take a lot out of him. Labosky throws a left and a right that both miss

Labosky is looking to escape. Labosky taking some punishment here, with Koererlaerer in his half guard. Labosky is looking to control Koererlaerer's leg but it's slowly edging free. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Koererlaerer is looking to take a break and control but Labosky is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Koererlaerer works his foot free and advances to mount. Labosky is squirming around, avoiding Koererlaerer's attempts to control the action. Koererlaerer is landing with some decent strikes but Labosky is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue. Koererlaerer with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.

Labosky tries to hold on but Koererlaerer postures up. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Koererlaerer wants to control the pace but Labosky is squirming around nicely. Koererlaerer has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Labosky's face.
The referee warns Labosky that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.

Labosky is rocked! Koererlaerer cracks Labosky with a big head shot that has him covering up instantly! He's rolled onto his side and the referee has seen enough - this one is aaaaaaaaaaall over!
