Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Willie Layer (ranked 1551 p4p, 5025 weight class) and Johan Christ (ranked 206 p4p, 542 weight class). Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Johan Christ!
The judges for this bout are Saam Ante, Wagner Zegers and Daniel Blasius.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Layer ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Christ throws a hook to the side of Layer's head but Layer sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.

Christ throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

Layer lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Layer is sent reeling backwards by a solid uppercut. He barely regains his balance and Christ moves in for the kill throwing a continuous barrage of punches that force the ref to step in.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:11 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Johan Christ!
A relieved looking Johan Christ thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
