PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Mark O Madsen (ranked 2418 p4p, 1022 weight class) and Pat Kelly (ranked 335 p4p, 154 weight class). On his way into the cage it seems that Mark O Madsen has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Mark O Madsen seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Saam Ante, Patrick Alders and Paul Aken.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A big right from O Madsen misses.

Kelly moves into the clinch successfully.
O Madsen's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button!
O Madsen has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Kelly avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.
Kelly doesn't land with the attempted body shot.
Kelly lands a good knee to the midsection. O Madsen won't want to take too many of those.

Kelly's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Kelly has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.

Kelly gets a double leg takedown into O Madsen's guard.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Kelly slips nicely into half guard.
Kelly is nestled in close to O Madsen, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Kelly takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.

O Madsen won't allow Kelly to pass to mount.
Kelly looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks O Madsen with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Kelly lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.
Kelly is stalling here. O Madsen is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Kelly seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and O Madsen has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work.

Kelly wants to improve his position but O Madsen is controlling well.

We've been hearing that O Madsen has been drilling a lot of ground and pound in training, so let's see if he get the finish.

O Madsen has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Kelly to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! O Madsen is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Kelly pulls down on the head and he's put O Madsen to sleep! This one is all over!
