Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Bobby Bomstaerk (ranked 649 p4p, 5800 weight class) and Omari Apinagewanwa (ranked 89 p4p, 594 weight class). Apinagewanwa is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Maurice A God - Lottery. I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 10 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Bobby Bomstaerk!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 7 - 1, fighting out of Tokyo, Omari Apinagewanwa!
The judges for this bout are Radbod Blank, Aafke Stam and Saam Ante.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bomstaerk darts in looking for a takedown but Apinagewanwa gets double underhooks and turns Bomstaerk into the cage.

Apinagewanwa's coach down at Gold Samurai's Gym was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Apinagewanwa's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Bobby Bomstaerk. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Apinagewanwa pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Bomstaerk is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Apinagewanwa defends well.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.

Apinagewanwa wants to get up but he can't break Bomstaerk's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
Apinagewanwa stands and steps away. Bomstaerk gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.

Apinagewanwa lands a big right hand that sends Bomstaerk crashing to the mat! Apinagewanwa stays standing though and waves Bomstaerk back to his feet!

Oh Bomstaerk is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

Bomstaerk tries to bum rush Apinagewanwa with a series of wild strikes but Apinagewanwa uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Bomstaerk really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Bomstaerk looks to score with a jab to the body but Apinagewanwa is just out of range.
Bomstaerk throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Apinagewanwa sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Bomstaerk throws a head kick that misses.
Apinagewanwa closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Bomstaerk tries to score a body lock takedown but Apinagewanwa shows good agility there to stay on his feet.
Apinagewanwa escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Bomstaerk tries to land a front kick but Apinagewanwa steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
Bomstaerk clobbers Apinagewanwa with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
Bomstaerk shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Apinagewanwa shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Bomstaerk pinned against the cage. Bomstaerk gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Bomstaerk drops down looking for a counter takedown but Apinagewanwa sprawls and moves away.

Bomstaerk takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Apinagewanwa lands a big uppercut and Bomstaerk crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Bomstaerk looks OK. Apinagewanwa waves Bomstaerk back to his feet!
Bomstaerk fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Apinagewanwa gets caught flat footed, as Bomstaerk shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Bomstaerk is looking to pass into half guard but Apinagewanwa pushes him away with his feet and jumps on top - now Apinagewanwa is in guard.
Apinagewanwa has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Bomstaerk is proving hard to escape from.
Bomstaerk is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Apinagewanwa is aware though and is defending well.
Apinagewanwa won't allow Bomstaerk to get back to his feet.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Apinagewanwa stands up and waves to Bomstaerk to follow him.

The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare each other down, ready to get back to the action.
Bomstaerk throws a body punch but Apinagewanwa moves out of range.
Apinagewanwa lands a left and a right that send Bomstaerk crashing to the mat, dazed. Apinagewanwa thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!
Apinagewanwa fires a straight punch through the middle that cracks Bomstaerk square on the jaw! Damn, Bomstaerk is out cold on his feet and topples face first to the canvas! Wow, I haven't seen a knockout that brutal in a long time!
