The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Simmons jabs Jewish right on the nose. Jewish blinks but takes it well.
Simmons uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Jewish.
It appears Simmons was looking to counter with a kick there.
Jewish dips to his left and cracks Simmons with an uppercut!
I Am Jewish seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Simmons appears to be looking for a big counter.

Jewish throws a body punch but Simmons moves out of range.

It appears Simmons was looking to counter with a kick there.

Jewish throws a looping overhand right but Simmons ducks down to avoid it.
Jewish has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
Simmons misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Simmons misses with a jab, cross combination.
Jewish lands with a shot to the body.
Jewish throws a hook but Simmons blocks it.
That kick from Simmons tenderised Jewish's leg. Jewish is trying to keep his angry face on.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Simmons gets cracked there but stands up to it.

Simmons tried to counter with a leg kick but Jewish avoided it.

Simmons moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.
Jewish throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Simmons scores to the head and body with a nice combination!
Simmons throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.
Jewish throws a hook but Simmons avoids it easily.
Jewish just manages to avoid a counter high kick fromSimmons.

Jewish fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Simmons looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Simmons rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Jewish moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Simmons glances at the clock... BAM! Jewish nails him with a big right hand! A momentary lapse in concentration sends Simmons crashing to the mat! The referee steps in and this one is over! Damn, Simmons is out of it, he thinks the ref is his opponent!
