PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between James Shortman (ranked 4078 p4p, 3695 weight class) and Msujfnaud Mspomfad (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Shortman has a slight injury, which hopefully won't affect the fight too much. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, James Shortman!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 9 - 1, fighting out of Amsterdam, Msujfnaud Mspomfad!
The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, Daniel Franklin and Frank Dennis.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Mspomfad has closed the distance and engaged Shortman in a clinch.

Mspomfad pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Shortman shoots in for a takedown but Mspomfad shows good takedown defense.
Shortman throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Mspomfad's waist but Mspomfad gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Shortman off to one side.
Shortman is breathing heavily.

A big head kick from Mspomfad and Shortman is sent sprawling to the canvas!

Shortman is rocked!
Mspomfad content to stall in guard here.
Oh Shortman is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Mspomfad advances to half guard.
Mspomfad slows the pace down in half guard.
Mspomfad looks to score some points with some ground and pound.

James Shortman's cut is bleeding quite badly. He's got to try and protect it.
Still in half guard, Mspomfad seems content to control.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Mspomfad lands a big elbow from half guard. That looks like it's hurt Shortman quite badly. Shortman pulls Mspomfad in close trying to recover. Mspomfad postures up and lands two really hard shots that put Shortman on queer street! The ref takes a look and decides to call an end to the fight! Possibly an early stoppage but Shortman doesn't seem to be complaining too much.
