Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Thurgood Jenkins!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Test Middle!
The judges for this bout are Bart Greer, David Hoff and Sandra Marshall.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jenkins throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Middle uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Jenkins.
Middle shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Jenkins as he avoids it easily.
Jenkins lands a lovely overhand right.
Middle shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Jenkins eats them both and turns towards Middle to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.
Middle lands with a kick to the temple. Jenkins shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"
Jenkins jabs. That one connects to the head of his opponent.
Jenkins misses with a body shot.
Middle moves out of range of the strikes.
Middle is definitely looking for the counter takedowns here.
Jenkins throws a lazy uppercut
and Middle counters with a solid body kick.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Middle tries to clinch but Jenkins moves out of range.
Jenkins throwing a counter right hand but Middle manages to avoid it.
Jenkins pounces like a tiger and cracks Middle with a vicious hook! Middle is down but not out! Jenkins follows up with more strikes forcing the ref to jump in and stop it!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:40 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Thurgood Jenkins!
