The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ross moves in looking to clinch but Howlett pushes him off.
Ross tries to clinch there but Howlett circles away.
Ross moves forwards but Howlett connects with a nice, crisp jab.
Ross tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Howlett manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Ross walks into a jab.
Howlett tests Ross's chin there with a solid looking shot.

Logan Howlett seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Ross needs to keep his hands up - Howlett had a free shot at his head there.
Howlett lands a lovely overhand right.
Howlett scores with a decent looking hook.
Ross is rocked!
Ross gets clipped by a big right hand and goes down spinning to the canvas! Howlett gets the back mount and begins to drop bombs on his rocked foe! Ross is too out of it to defend against the strikes and the referee jumps in to save him from the beatdown!
