Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jarizinho Jankens (ranked 4797 p4p, 5939 weight class) and Island Boy (ranked 559 p4p, 631 weight class). Jankens comes to the cage accompanied by Highway to Hell - by AC/DC. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Jankens closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Boy did well to prevent Jankens getting side control.

Jankens is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Jankens could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

Island Boy seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Jankens shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Jankens showed some decent athleticism there.

Boy catches Jankens with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!

Boy feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Jankens sprawling to the canvas! Jankens rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Boy finish him?!

Jarizinho Jankens's cut is bleeding quite badly. He's got to try and protect it.

Boy works Jankens's body with a nice hook.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Boy finds Jankens's off switch, with a big overhand right that connects perfectly to the side of the head! Jankens flops back against the cage, eyes gazing into the distance. Boy lands an unnecessary shot before the referee has time to step in and end the fight. Brutal stuff but I'm sure Jankens will be OK.
