Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ray Pest (ranked 4535 p4p, 5865 weight class) and Pavel Dovydov (ranked 523 p4p, 617 weight class). Pavel Dovydov will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Ray Pest!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Pavel Dovydov!
The judges for this bout are David Hoff, Sandra Marshall and Santiago Holmes.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pest slips a straight right by Dovydov.
Pest changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Dovydov tries to avoid it but Pest manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Dovydov to the ground. Dovydov escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Dovydov listening to his corner there, landing a nice uppercut.
Dovydov thows a left - swing and a miss!
Dovydov throws out a loose jab but Pest uses good head movement to avoid it.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Pest.
Dovydov lands a right hook to the body.
Pest changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Dovydov looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Dovydov can do anything to dispel that myth.
Dovydov explodes and escapes back to his feet! Nice escape there!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Pest has his takedown stuffed
and Dovydov cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Ray Pest. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Dovydov slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.
Pest bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Pest closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Dovydov quickly recovers to half guard.
Pest with a momentary lay and pray from half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Dovydov on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound.
Dovydov tries to strike from the bottom but it doesn't land.

Pest not landing any meaningful shots this time.
Pest thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
Dovydov wants to get back to his feet.
Pest is controlling the pace.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Pest blocks the strikes from Dovydov.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Pest wants to work for an arm triangle but Dovydov is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Dovydov looks like he's trying to stand up.
Pest moves into full mount! Dovydov won't be happy about that!
Pest will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Pest takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
Pest sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it!
Dovydov has left one of his arms exposed and Pest doesn't need a second invitation. He's isolated it and locked on a tight armbar. Dovydov screams and taps out, obviously in a lot of pain. Hopefully there isn't permanent damage to that arm.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:57 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Ray Pest!
After winning the bout, Ray Pest thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
