Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Sergio Sergius (ranked 3171 p4p, 4696 weight class) and Derogatory Thibodeaux (ranked 0 p4p, 156 weight class). Derogatory Thibodeaux will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Thibodeaux throws a sloppy head kick and Sergius moves out of range easily.
Sergius pushes Thibodeaux up against the cage in a clinch.
Still in the clinch, Sergius scores with a nice short uppercut.
Sergius scores with a shoulder strike.
Sergius lands an elbow that stopped Thibodeaux in his tracks for a moment.
It looks like Derogatory Thibodeaux has been cut.
Thibodeaux takes an elbow to the forehead.
Sergius breaks the clinch.
Sergius darts in and clinches Thibodeaux up against the cage.

Thibodeaux gets tackled into the cage by Sergius. Sergius maintains the clinch.
Thibodeaux is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Sergius is defending well.

Sergius gets an overhook and lands an elbow to the side of the head.
That has opened up Derogatory Thibodeaux's cut even more.

Sergius pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Sergius rushes Thibodeaux and presses him up against the cage.
Sergius lands a vicious elbow to the side of Thibodeaux's head that scrambles his senses and sends him wobbling down to the canvas! Sergius tries to finish him with strikes but Thibodeaux still seems able to defend himself so Sergius steps back and lets Thibodeaux get back to his feet - he wants no part of the ground game.
Thibodeaux is rocked!
Sergio Sergius is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Sergius moves into range and clinches up with Thibodeaux.

Clinched against the cage, Sergius lands a big elbow that drops Thibodeaux! The ref dives in to save him from more shots - Thibodeaux is complaining that he's OK but he was done.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:56 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Sergio Sergius!
Sergio Sergius decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
