Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Klaus Chugman (ranked 1412 p4p, 1814 weight class) and Ken Irrawaddy (ranked 41 p4p, 54 weight class). Irrawaddy has chosen Laos Rules! as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 29 - 23 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Klaus Chugman!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 19 - 15 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Ken Irrawaddy!
The judges for this bout are Steven Brown, William Gold and Donald Grub.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Irrawaddy misses with a wild body shot.

Irrawaddy fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Chugman, pushing him back against the cage.
Chugman effectively controlling the action here.
Chugman is looking to control Irrawaddy's arms but Irrawaddy gets an underhook and turns him. Now Chugman has his back to the cage.
Irrawaddy lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Chugman backwards.
Irrawaddy pushes Chugman back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head.
Chugman keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Irrawaddy's efforts to push away.
Irrawaddy doesn't land with the attempted body shot.
The pace really dropping off here, momentarily.
Both guys are working to get underhooks.
I was talking to Chugman's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight.
The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Chugman takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life.

Irrawaddy has momentary wrist control but Chugman slips an elbow through the middle.

In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Irrawaddy working his ground and pound in the gym. He isn't landing a great percentage of his ground strikes so far though.

Chugman has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Irrawaddy can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Well Irrawaddy has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
