The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fries tries to close the distance and clinch up but Weah swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Fries throws a jab when Weah was well out of range.
Fries throws a hook but Weah blocks it.
Fries shoots for a takedown but Weah saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Fries doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Fries misses the jab.
It seemed like Weah was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.
Fries looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Weah takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
A cross from Weah lands.

Fries fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.

Fries has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Fries has worked his way into a potential kimura here. Weah is trying to get out of the position but his squirming has just got him deeper into trouble. Fries yanks on the arm and Weah is forced to tap due to a very painful looking submission! Nice work by Fries.
