The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kingman paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.

Excellent takedown into side control there by Bey.
Bey wants to control but Kingman is keeping him busy.
Kingman told us pre-fight that he has been working on his escapes in training. Let's see if he can call on some of his new skills to get back to his feet.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Kingman tries to buck Bey off but Bey is having none of it.

Bey fails to land a wild elbow strike.

Bey is trying to get an arm triangle but Kingman is defending well.
The ground and pound from Bey seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent.
Bey really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Bey thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

Bey looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.
We've been hearing that Bey has been drilling a lot of ground and pound in training, so let's see if he get the finish.

Bey tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Bey has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Bey has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.

Kingman wants to improve his position, back to half guard but Bey has ideas of his own. He's got hold of Kingman's far side arm and it looks like he's got an Americana. Ohh! Ohhhh! OOOOOOOOOH!
