Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jackson Silva (ranked 4422 p4p, 4536 weight class) and Mark Midget (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Jackson Silva!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Mark Midget!
The judges for this bout are Santiago Holmes, Peter Branson and Daniel Franklin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Silva shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Midget as he avoids it easily.
Silva gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Midget decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Silva's guard.
Midget scoring with punches to the head and body.
Silva tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Midget in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
Silva will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Midget throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.

Silva is trying to control the position from the bottom.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Midget connects with a couple of short punches.
Silva has his foot on Midget's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Midget works his way back into a safe position though.
Midget chips away with some ground and pound.
Midget looking to sit in guard and control but Silva gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
Midget manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Silva manages to get himself to full guard.
Silva not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Silva is looking to sweep but instead, Midget has passed into half guard.
Midget wants to take a breather but Silva is having none of it.
Well, if Midget is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.

Midget takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Midget connects with a nice short shot to Silva's temple.
Silva is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Midget looks to score some points with some ground and pound.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Midget lands a nice short elbow.
Silva trying to keep hold of his opponent's head but Midget manages to pass to mount!

Midget is in full mount looking to finish with strikes. He lands a big shot, followed by another and Silva goes limp! The ref jumps in to end the fight - a big win for Midget!
