Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 11 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Roberto Vieira!
The judges for this bout are Aafke Stam, Patrick Alders and Paulsen Ambrosius.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Shortman closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Shortman is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Vieira tries to get to full guard but Shortman has control of the leg.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Shortman drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Shortman jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Shortman postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Vieira is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Shortman, into his guard.
Vieira got a little sloppy there for a moment and Shortman has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Vieira has managed to get both his arms back between Shortman's legs - danger averted.

Vieira is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
Vieira distracts Shortman with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.
Shortman isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Vieira stacks Shortman on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Vieira!
