Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 19 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Juhani Mustonen!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 16 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Akimbo Spice!
The judges for this bout are Eliza Hachem, Topper Green and John Mangel.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Spice throws a right and a left that both miss.
Juhani Mustonen seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Mustonen misses with a body shot.
Jab, jab by Mustonen - just one landing.
Mustonen throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Spice on the side of the head.
Spice swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Mustonen looks to score with a jab to the body but Spice is just out of range.
Mustonen sends Spice crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! Mustonen is motioning to the referee to let Spice up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet!
It looks like Akimbo Spice has been cut.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Spice cracks Mustonen with a right hand to the side of the head.
Spice avoids the body shot from Mustonen.
Mustonen takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Mustonen throws a solid leg kick but Spice takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Mustonen.
Spice swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Mustonen lands a big uppercut and Spice crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Spice looks OK. Mustonen waves Spice back to his feet!
Spice is rocked!
Spice throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Spice is still on wobbly legs! Can Mustonen finish him?
Spice throws a big shot that misses.
Mustonen was looking to counter that last move with a shot to the body but he didn't commit.
Spice seems to have recovered his senses.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Spice slips under a jab from Mustonen.
Spice swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made.
Spice misses with a left hand
and Mustonen counters with a beautiful right hand that knocks Spice out cold! What a finish! Mustonen is going crazy, running around the mat, summersaulting off the corner posts and screaming into the cameras. Something tells me he's pretty happy!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:10 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Juhani Mustonen!
Juhani Mustonen decided to thank the fans in attendance for making a great atmosphere. It seemed to go down pretty well.
