Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Sam Diego (ranked 1126 p4p, 1848 weight class) and Gen Tenryu (ranked 175 p4p, 270 weight class). Sam Diego is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples... Tweaking his own nipples that is.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Sam Diego!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 6 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Gen Tenryu!
The judges for this bout are Colin Fotheringham, Richard Clark and Chris Edwards.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A cross from Diego lands.
Diego's corner calls for a 1-2. Diego obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.
Diego throws a push kick but Tenryu slaps the foot to one side.
Diego scores with a jab to the head.
Tenryu throws a shot from downtown. Diego moves away and avoids it.
Sam Diego seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Diego blocks a jab.
Diego has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Brooklyn Mixed Martial Arts in the buildup to the fight.
Tenryu connects with a jab.

Diego misses with a telegraphed body shot
enabling Tenryu to counter with a crisp jab.
It looks like Sam Diego has been cut.
Tenryu slips a straight right by Diego.
A little jabbing left from Tenryu on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.
Diego throws a hook but Tenryu blocks it.
Diego misses with a hook.
Tenryu scores with a nice right hand.

enabling Tenryu to counter with a crisp jab.
Diego connects with a good right hand that stumbles Tenryu. Tenryu circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
Diego looks for the body kick but Tenryu saw that one coming.

Tenryu throws a hook to the side of Diego's head but Diego sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Diego slips under a jab.
Diego dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Diego throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Diego lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Tenryu at a distance.
Tenryu scores with a punch to the head.
Oh Diego is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Tenryu throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Diego moves away from the strike by Tenryu.
Diego seems to have got his legs back now.
Diego throws a front kick that sends Tenryu stumbling back into the cage.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Tenryu slips under a jab.
Nice straight punches there by Diego. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Diego.
A telegraphed right hand from Tenryu misses the target.
Diego's jab looks to have found its range, popping Tenryu under the eye.
Diego is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches.
Diego does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.
Tenryu throws out a counter right but Diego avoids it with no problem.
Diego misses with a low kick as Tenryu jumps back.
Diego lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Diego throws a shot to the body.
Tenryu lands a big uppercut and Diego crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Diego looks OK. Tenryu waves Diego back to his feet!
Diego dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Diego jabs Tenryu to the body, keeping him at a distance.
Tenryu might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable.

Tenryu misses with a straight left.
A little feinted left hand from Diego on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.
Diego ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Tenryu moves away.
Tenryu avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Nice jab there from Diego.
Diego misses with a body shot.
Diego feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Tenryus jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!
Diego gets clipped by a big right hand and goes down spinning to the canvas! Tenryu gets the back mount and begins to drop bombs on his rocked foe! Diego is too out of it to defend against the strikes and the referee jumps in to save him from the beatdown!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:48 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Gen Tenryu!
