PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Zambosurian Inday (ranked 25148 p4p, 6855 weight class) and Vvv Vvv (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). On his way into the cage it seems that Zambosurian Inday has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Zambosurian Inday seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Zambosurian Inday!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 11 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Vvv Vvv!
The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Alan Glass and Cecil Peabody.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight.
Inday shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Vvv pinned against the cage. Vvv gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Vvv closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Vvv lands in his opponent's guard.

That's one minute gone in the round.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Vvv being controlled here momentarily.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Vvv wanted to stand there but Inday had control of the position.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

Vvv gets to his feet - Inday follows without any prompting.
Inday throws a push kick but Vvv slaps the foot to one side.

Vvv feints and as Inday raises his hands in defense, Vvv changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Inday has control of Vvv's left arm, preventing Vvv from doing any damage.

Vvv gets to his feet - Inday follows without any prompting.
Vvv shoots in and drives through. Inday sprawls well.
Inday jinks towards his opponent looking like he wants to counter with a mid kick but doesn't commit.

Vvv shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
It looks like Vvv is going to stand back up.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Inday is concentrating on defense, preventing Vvv from advancing position.
It looks like Vvv is going to stand back up.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Vvv Vvv dominated that round.
Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!

Inday shoots in for a takedown but Vvv shows good takedown defense.
Vvv is trying to counter with his kicks.

Vvv closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Inday's guard.
Inday pulls Vvv in close to his closed guard and prevents Vvv from doing any damage or advancing position.
Inday's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

Vvv throws a strike but Inday rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

Vvv kicks Inday off and gets to his feet.

Inday shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
Vvv blocking the ground and pound attempt from Inday.
Vvv is trying to stand.
Inday is thwarting Vvv's attempts to control the position.

Vvv might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Inday haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.
Vvv is controlling Inday's position as best he can from this difficult position.
Vvv is looking for a sweep. Inday is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Vvv is looking to escape.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up.

A lazy body kick from Inday
and Vvv counters with a body kick that brings a smile to the face of both fighters.
Vvv shoots in but Inday avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Vvv tries to clinch but Inday is having none of it.

Inday shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Inday was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

Inday decides to take the fight back to the feet.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Nice takedown defense from Inday. No joy for Vvv on that attempt.
A head kick misses from Vvv.
It appears Inday was looking to counter with a kick there.
Vvv looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Inday is fending him off so far but Vvv persists. Nope, Inday circles away and we're back to standing.
Inday went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected.
Zambosurian Inday has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Vvv Vvv.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Vvv misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
It appears Inday was looking to counter with a kick there.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

A close second round but Vvv Vvv will probably get the nod - 10:9.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! And we move into the final round!

Vvv shoots in but no luck this time.
Inday is looking to counter with a body kick.
Vvv fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Inday defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Vvv.
Zambosurian Inday has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Vvv Vvv.
Vvv darts in looking for a takedown but Inday gets double underhooks and turns Vvv into the cage.
Inday jinks towards his opponent looking like he wants to counter with a mid kick but doesn't commit.

Inday throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Vvv was covering up waiting for the punch and Inday finishes the takedown easily into guard.
Inday stands up over Vvv, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.

Vvv wants to stand up but Inday is controlling him.
Vvv is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Vvv is pulling down on Inday's head. It's preventing any offense from Inday, at least for the moment.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Vvv is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Vvv is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Inday is controlling him.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
Vvv shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Inday as he jumps to the side.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Horrible takedown attempt by Vvv or perhaps it was just good defense by Inday, which made it look bad.
And Inday counters with a quick kick to the body but Vvv blocks it.
Vvv slaps away a takedown attempt from Inday, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Vvv shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Inday pinned against the cage. Inday gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Inday went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected.
Zambosurian Inday has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Inday throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Vvv's waist but Vvv gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Inday off to one side.
Vvv Vvv is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Vvv.

And that's the end of the fight!
Zambosurian Inday showed his dominance in that final round.
I think Vvv has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
