Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Dan Dinklage (ranked 4518 p4p, 4393 weight class) and Jeremias Furtwangler (ranked 0 p4p, 530 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Dan Dinklage! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Jeremias Furtwangler! The judges for this bout are Santiago Holmes, Winston Alpacca and Dirk Anderson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Dinklage fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Furtwangler sprawls well initially but Dinklage persists and gets the takedown into half guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Furtwangler tries to kick Dinklage off but Dinklage keeps his base steady and stays in half guard. Furtwangler actively working from the bottom here. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Furtwangler can do anything to dispel that myth. Furtwangler tries to get to full guard but Dinklage has control of the leg. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Dinklage in particular looking to stall. The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Dinklage connects with a nice short shot to Furtwangler's temple. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Dinklage lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears. Dinklage is figuring out what he wants to do next.
That's one minute gone in the round. Furtwangler wants to improve his position but Dinklage is controlling well.
Dinklage landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent. Dinklage really is a fat lump. Dinklage works his way into full mount! Dinklage with a couple of short strikes. Dinklage working Furtwangler over with strikes here. Furtwangler tries to lock up and control but Dinklage gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. Dinklage controlling his opponent.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Furtwangler is in a horrible position here. Dinklage smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.
Dinklage unloads with some vicious shots from mount and Furtwangler wants out - he looks towards the referee who steps in to save him! Dinklage celebrates on the cage and the crowd goes wild!
