Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the middleweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 27 - 4 - 0, fighting out of New York, Edison Atunes!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 23 - 5 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Angelo Moore!
The judges for this bout are Hugh Johnson, Ron Honeybunn and Chris Dean.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Moore takes a head kick and keeps coming.

It looks like Angelo Moore has been cut.
Moore scores with a one two! Atunes had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.

It looks like Edison Atunes has been cut.
Moore fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Atunes on the side of the head.
Moore takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Atunes slips a jab and a cross from Moore.
Moore just manages to avoid a counter high kick fromAtunes.
Moore misses with a left hand
and Atunes counters with a nice low kick that buckles Moore's knee momentarily.
A looping hook to the body misses from Moore. Atunes does a little dance to reset his feet.
Moore throws a head kick but Atunes moves out of range.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Atunes fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.
Moore takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Moore flicks out a counter leg kick but Atunes steps away.
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Atunes.

Moore throws a sloppy head kick and Atunes moves out of range easily.
Atunes scores with a jab to the head.
Atunes ducks under a wild hook from Moore.
Atunes slips a jab from Moore.
Moore takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.

That has opened up Angelo Moore's cut even more.
Moore slips under a jab.
Atunes misses with a low kick.
Atunes connects with a crisp jab.

Moore loads up on a big right hand but Atunes slips the punch.
Moore misses the jab.
Angelo Moore seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Moore throws a head kick that misses.
Atunes digs a good hook to Moore's body.
Atunes scores with a decent looking hook.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Some wild striking there from Atunes.
Atunes cracks Moore with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.

The cut above Angelo Moore's eye is starting to cause him problems now.

Moore uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Atunes.
Moore takes a swing at Atunes's ribcage but misses.
Moore throws a wild body kick that Atunes sees coming a mile off.
Atunes tried to counter with a leg kick but Moore avoided it.
Atunes blocks a low kick nicely.
Atunes throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Moore throws a lazy right hand but Atunes sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Moore avoids the head kick by Atunes.
Moore misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Moore throws a leg kick
and Atunes cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Moore throws a shot from downtown. Atunes moves away and avoids it.
Atunes was looking to counter that last move with a shot to the body but he didn't commit.
Atunes looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Atunes goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
Atunes blocks a jab.
Moore throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Atunes was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.
Nice uppercut there from Moore.
Moore tries a head kick but it misses.
It looked like Atunes wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.
Atunes with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Moore connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Atunes's hands.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Atunes connects with a solid leg kick.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Edison Atunes will probably get the nod.
Both fighters have cut men working on them during the interval.
That's time! Atunes's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

Moore misses with a hook.
Atunes takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
Atunes takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Moore with the inside leg kick.
Atunes avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Moore misses with a double jab.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Moore scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent.
Moore has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Moore there as he acknowledges the shot.

Moore lands a left and a right that send Atunes crashing to the mat, dazed. Moore thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!

Atunes is rocked!

Moore looking to land some kicks to the body here.
Oh Atunes is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Moore throws a sloppy head kick and Atunes moves out of range easily.
Moore misses with an uppercut. Atunes saw that one coming.
A telegraphed right hand from Atunes misses the target.
As Atunes backs off Moore throws a huge counter combo but Atunes manages to avoid it all.
Atunes seems to have got his legs back now.
Atunes steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Moore.
A solid leg kick lands there for Atunes.
Atunes gets off balance looking for a body kick

and Moore counters with a nice right hand that sends Atunes toppling to the canvas! Atunes scrambles and gets back to his feet - can Moore finish him?!

Edison Atunes's cut is getting worse.
Moore throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Moore throws a nice inside leg kick.
Moore misses with a hook
and Atunes counters with a good low kick that Moore was not able to check.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The fighters circle momentarily. Moore darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
Moore will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
A counter left hand to the body from Atunes misses its target.
Moore swings widly with a right hand
and Atunes counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Moore has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Atunes bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Atunes thinks about countering with a body kick.
Atunes blocks a head kick by Moore.
Moore tries a head kick but it misses.
Atunes swings for the body but Moore moves out of range.
It seemed like Moore was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.
Atunes uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.

Angelo Moore's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Angelo Moore's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:11 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Cut). Edison Atunes!
Edison Atunes retains his middleweight title!
In his post fight interview, Edison Atunes gave a big smile as he said 'Angelo was a threat - since Karter has taken over as head coach I’m killing these guys - bring Pekka back I’ll fuck him up bad'.
