Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Yak Nine (ranked 4644 p4p, 4528 weight class) and Brian Ripper (ranked 0 p4p, 526 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Yak Nine! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Brian Ripper! The judges for this bout are David Hoff, Michael Johnstone and Daniel Franklin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Ripper bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Nine scores with a punch to the head. Nine with a body punch. A glancing blow. Ripper moves out of range as Nine strikes. Nine punishes Ripper's body with a nice straight punch. Nine lands a jab to the nose. Nine lands a nice shot that snaps Ripper's head back.
Ripper takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Ripper lands a kick to the ribs of his opponent. Nice work there - in and out in a flash.
Nine dips to his left and cracks Ripper with an uppercut! We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Nine fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Ripper lands with a kick to the temple. Nine shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?" A leg kick checked by Nine. Ripper should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete. Ripper moves out of range of the strikes. Nine takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh. Nine shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Ripper eats them both and turns towards Nine to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.
It looks like Brian Ripper has been cut. Nine takes a head kick and keeps coming.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it! Nine fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Ripper manages to avoid it. Ripper appeared to try and counter that last move with a leg kick. A low kick from Ripper is predictable there and Nine counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Ripper thinking. Ripper keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Nine tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Ripper was well out of range. Poor timing from Nine. Ripper steps in looking to clinch after the strikes miss from Nine.
That's one minute gone in the round. Ripper throws a lazy uppercut
and Nine counters with a left to the body. Ripper buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Ripper thows a left - swing and a miss! Ripper misses with a head kick.
Nice uppercut lands for Nine. That snapped Ripper's head back.
Ripper throws a jab but it's blocked by Nine. Nine lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Ripper at a distance.
Ripper looks winded! Ripper lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range. Nine connects with a looping right hand.
Nine with a nice cross. Ripper throws a low kick, looking for Nine's leg but Nine calmly moves out of range. Ripper missing with a left hand there. Nine was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. Nine drops Ripper with a beautiful combination! Ripper stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Nine is looking for the KO! Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Nine staying out of range there. Nine scores with the left hand. Ripper knows he should have avoided that one.
Ripper is rocked! Nine drops a shoulder and throws an uppercut that cracks Ripper right on the button. Ripper goes down! Nine follows him to the mat and finishes the job with more strikes! Nine gets the win via TKO!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:53 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Yak Nine!
