PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Phuc Dat Bich (ranked 314 p4p, 917 weight class) and Titus Lesnar (ranked 52 p4p, 130 weight class). Lesnar has chosen Next Big Thing as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 19 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Phuc Dat Bich!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 12 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Titus Lesnar!
The judges for this bout are Damien Edna, Skip Squint and Francis DeMontford.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lesnar defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Bich.

Lesnar looks to land a left hand but Bich moved out of range nicely.
Bich drops down looking for a counter takedown but Lesnar sprawls and moves away.
Bich throws a head kick that misses.
Bich misses the jab.

Lesnar closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Lesnar lands in his opponent's guard.

Bich pushes Lesnar off and gets back to his feet.
Bich is looking to take this fight into the clinch.

Lesnar shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Bich's guard.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Bich is working hard here to advance position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Bich has control of Lesnar's left arm, preventing Lesnar from doing any damage.
Bich seems to have improved his submission grappling technique since last time we saw him. Let's see if he can pull off a submission.
Lesnar with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.

Bich has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
Bich looking to control but Lesnar is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Lesnar is trying to stand up.
Bich takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

Lesnar is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Bich can't fight it off and eventually Lesnar manages to take the fight to the floor. Bich looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Bich wants to sweep here but Lesnar controlling him for the moment.
Lesnar must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Lesnar connects with a nice short shot to Bich's temple.

Lesnar lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.
Phuc Dat Bich overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Bich is holding on to half guard well.

Lesnar will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Bich misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Bich swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Lesnar just misses with a punch to the body.
Lesnar misses the shot to the body.
Bich takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Lesnar fails to land with a series of punches.
Bich half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range.
Lesnar tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Bich was well out of range. Poor timing from Lesnar.
A combination from Lesnar does no damage.
Bich went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected.

Lesnar has Bich pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Lesnar pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Bich tumbling to the mat - Lesnar dives into Bich's guard.

Bich pushes a forearm under Lesnar's chin to create some space. He's escaped his hips and pivoted quickly for an armbar! Can he extend the arm? Yes, Lesnar is tapping out! Damn, that was fast!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:24 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Phuc Dat Bich!
Phuc Dat Bich decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
