Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Dax Crumper (ranked 3381 p4p, 1036 weight class) and Liam Murphy (ranked 398 p4p, 139 weight class). Murphy has chosen I'm Shipping Up To Boston- Dropkick Murphy's as his entrance music. Buckle up people - heeeeeeeeeere we go!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 9 - 1, fighting out of London, Dax Crumper!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 10 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Liam Murphy!
The judges for this bout are Topper Green, Ron Honeybunn and Ben Watson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Murphy tries to clinch but Crumper is having none of it.

Crumper decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Crumper slows the pace down in half guard.
Crumper looking to pass the half guard. Not this time.
Crumper drops an elbow to the side of Murphy's head.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Crumper is looking to take a break and control but Murphy is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Murphy throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Crumper escapes and throws Murphy's legs to the side, diving into side control!
Crumper lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Murphy down.
Murphy felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it.

Crumper goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Murphy rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Crumper's guard! Nice work there by Murphy!

Murphy is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Murphy is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Crumper defends well.
