Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 9 - 1, fighting out of London, Dax Crumper!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Eric Ries!
The judges for this bout are Ben Hemmingworth, Topper Green and John Mangel.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Crumper closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Ries to the mat! Ries manages to get full guard.
Crumper makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Crumper content to stall in guard here.
Crumper has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.
Crumper pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Ries is keeping the position for now.
Crumper postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
Crumper changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Ries tries to avoid it but Crumper manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Ries to the ground. Ries escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

We've been informed that Ries has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result.

Ries tries to sprawl but Crumper drives through with a takedown into half guard.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Crumper looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Crumper in particular looking to stall.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Crumper seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Ries does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
Crumper will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Dax Crumper will probably get the nod.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Crumper goes for a double leg but Ries avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Ries continues to drive forward.

Ries closes the distance and lands a vicious right hand that drops Crumper! Ries dives in looking to finish! Crumper is still trying to defend himself but he's taking too many shots and the referee has no choice but to stop the fight!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:44 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Eric Ries!
