Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Ali Amir! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Cedric Pollard! The judges for this bout are William Peck, Trevor Gratis and Gregory Folan.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Pollard misses with a straight right. Pollard throws a body kick but he was well out of range there. The fighters circle momentarily. Amir darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
It looks like Cedric Pollard has been cut. Pollard misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Amir drops Pollard with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Pollard looks back up at him and smiles so Amir waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.
Pollard is rocked! Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Pollard. Pollard is still on wobbly legs! Can Amir finish him? Amir definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight. Amir shakes his hands by his side, trying to relax. Pollard takes his eyes off the ball for a moment - Amir sees the opportunity and cracks him with a massive hook! Pollard bends double and collapses on top of himself - he's out! The crowd are going absolutely nuts! Wow, what a knockout!
