This TWGC bout is 1 fifteen minute round in the featherweight division. Introducing today's competitors. In the red corner, competing out of Las Vegas, with a TWGC record of 0 wins and 1 losses; Millard Masters! And in the blue corner, fighting out of Sydney, with a TWGC record of 0 wins and 0 losses; Aung Siang!
The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, Gwen Towbar and Robert Twigg.


The fighters bow as they face eachother in the middle of the mat and we are under way.

Masters gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Siang to score an easy takedown into full guard.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

We've been hearing good reports from Masters's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.

Masters working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Siang doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Siang manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Siang is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.

Siang drops back, looking for a kneebar! Masters looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Masters looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Masters!

Masters is working actively from the bottom, looking for submissions. He's escaped his hips to the side and he's going for an armbar! Siang has his hands clasped together but Masters extends and breaks Siang's desperate grasp, forcing a tap out due to armbar! Nice BJJ displayed there by Masters.
